Eddie Ford has been committed to youth basketball for some 26 years. He annually directs the 100-plus team Kentucky HoopFest in Louisille that brings in summer travel teams from across the United States and Canada. His KY HoopStars travel teams allow many local high school stars the opportunity play around the country against some of the nation's best.

His lifelong dedication to basketball has led him around the United States and overseas to many European countries.

Eddie is the father of former University of Kentucky star and former coach at the University of Massachusetts, Travis Ford. Travis is currently the head coach at the University of Oklahoma.
